It is a hard decision when deciding that you or your loved one may need support or assistance but it is often a harder decision deciding which Home Help company to choose.  Essex Home Help Service aim to make that decision stress free and easier for you. If you have any questions that are not answered below please do not hesitate to contact us.


​What kind of home help services do you provide?

Essex Home Help Service provides housework and shopping as well as a sitting/companionship service.   


Is Essex Home Help Service Insured?

Essex Home Help Service holds Public Liability Insurance.


Where do you provide services?

Essex Home Help Service is available across the County of Essex.  Our head office in Braintree,

 

What reassurance do I have that the person coming into my home is dependable and honorable ?

Essex Home Help Service  recruitment process is of the utmost importance to us and we complete an Enhanced DBS check (police check) as well as obtaining references from former employers on each and every Home Help that we employ.   We ensure all Home Helps  share our commitment and passion that our clients are at the heart of our company.


Will I always receive the same Home Help at the same day and time each week?

You will have the same Home Help at the same day and time each week as we understand that consistency and continuity  is vital for our clients to get the most out of our service. 


Do I have to sign up to a contract?

We do not ask clients to sign a contract and there is no cancellation of service fee.


What times are the Home Helps available?

Our Company operates from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday and we make every effort to meet our customers needs.  For information we do not work Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays, Christmas Eve or between Christmas and New Year.


Can the Home Help cook my lunch?

Home Helps are not able to provide food preparation but will make you a cup of tea if desired.  


What if an item gets broken when my home is being cleaned?

Our Home Helps will treat your home with the utmost respect but in the event something is damaged or broken all of our Home Helps are fully insured and the office would deal with the issue as quickly as possible.


Will you do personal care if I need it?

Essex Home Help is unable to offer any form of personal care, prompting or administering medication.


How do you keep my loved one safe from  Co-Vid-19?

To keep all our clients and Home Helps safe in this difficult time Essex Home Help Service will be following the government's guidelines at all times.  We ensure that our Home Helps wear Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, face coverings and aprons). All staff are told to wash their hands regularly and use hand santiser at all times. Where possible the Home Helps will keep a distance of least 2 metres (3 steps away) and clients are asked to remain in another room whilst the Home Help is cleaning.


Are all your Home Helps being vaccinated against Co-vid 19?

Yes, all our Home Helps are on the vaccination programme.
